However, Leonard did not leave Australia having contracted pneumonia while on leave to Geraldton, Christmas 1917.
Death Details: 11 Jan 1918, died of pneumonia and cardiac arrest at No 8 Australian
General Hospital, Fremantle, WA, aged 19 years.
Cemetery: First interred at the Anglican Cemetery in Geraldton and later re-interred on the
family farm at Narra Tarra, via Geraldton.
